S/M fits Medium Palisades Pack well. Keeps rain out of pack, but it also keeps mud and debris from attaching to underside of pack bags. My dog kicks up lots of mud on wet trails and the cover catches it leaving the pack clean. The cover is trivial to clean, unlike the pack. I suspect this will also prolong the life of the pack.
