## Description

desertcart.com: ACARD TECHNOLOGY 1 to 3 24X Burner CD DVD Duplicator Standalone Tower Using ACARD’s Native SATA Controller Technology : Electronics

Review: Speed of delivery and worked VERY well - The Copying Unit worked as stated. Very simple to use and was fast.
Review: Works to duplicate up to three DVDs/CDs at a time, but... - UPDATE: As of August 2024 this machine has stopped working. No warning, it worked great for the year it was under warranty. It worked just fine the last time I used it (I use this every two to three weeks), then the next time I went to use it, it simply wouldn't turn on. I checked that the power cable was plugged in and that the cable was in good shape, which it was. I tried a new power cable, still no go. It seems like it's not getting power. Since it was out of warranty I opened it and put my voltage meter on the power block in the machine, the power block is fine, so something in the controller board itself had gone bad. Interesting that it failed nearly to the day a year after I received it. At any rate, I'll be getting another duplicator, I'll just be getting it from a different brand. Perhaps I've been lucky in the past because I've never had a computer type device fail so completely in such a short amount of time. Your milage may vary. ORIGINAL REVIEW: While this does the job it is designed to do, keep in mind you must have a master DVD/CD to work from. That's the point of this device after all. For me though, it's not as convenient as I'd hoped. I make a DVD image (ISO) at least once a month. I store that image on my NAS in case I need to produce more DVDs from that image again. What makes this device inconvenient for me (still convenient, just not as much as I'd hoped), is that I always have to manually produce a master physical DVD each time I want to use it to make copies. If it was only once in awhile that wouldn't be a bother, but I have to do this at least once, often many, times a month. My hope was when I bought this was that I'd be able to simply open it up and plug a sata ssd directly into it and just duplicate DVDs directly from an image, but it turned out not to be possible. That, and I didn't want to void the warranty by modifying it. I know there are devices like this that will do what I want this one to do, but my budget is very "shoe string", so I have to work with what I have for the moment. Just wanted to point out the draw backs of this device for myself in case there were others with a similar idea.
