The remote connected immediately with the camera and the (comprehensive) instructions were very clear, including a table showing what any of the lights on the device meant. The remote is small in form factor, and comes well packaged in a Nikon box. I find that it is a good size, and that it operates fairly intuitive. There is even the ability to zoom in and out with it, which is a bit of a a novelty but it may be usable for you. The remote operates both video and stills perfectly well and doesn’t require line of sight of the camera as it is Bluetooth, not IR. So far, I have found this to be a typically Nikon product; it works well, gives you good functionality and is relatively expensive for what it is!
