The 1200-watt SteamJet iron pumps unheated water from a separate reservoir station, heating the water only upon its entering the iron body for energy efficiency. The iron features an aluminum-steel soleplate with a slender tip that enables the iron to maneuver buttons, zippers and creases with ease. Inside the iron, the compact heating element heats for use in one minute and produces 85g of steam per minutes. Steam temperatures reach up to 210 degrees F. The station iron offers five heat settings in all and illuminates an indicator light upon reaching the preset temperature. The water reservoir holds 30 ounces of distilled water and should be placed on a flat surface prior to use. Because water only heats after being pumped into the iron, the anti-drip reservoir may be safely refilled during the ironing process. The iron self-cleans and shuts down automatically if left idle for more than ten minutes. A 6-foot power cord extends to outlets.
