Try removing tip and replacing. If it still squeaks remove again and rub a tiny drop of WD40 and replace. If you don't have WD40 use drop of cooking oil or liquid dish soap. To remove tip easily sit on chair and place a foot on top of two sides of cane tip. Put weight on your feet and pull cane up. Makes it easy for this old lady to do it on her own. **Q: Will this tip fit on a DMI walking cane with regular tip?** A: If a “DMI” cane has a removable tip, it may fit. But I’m not certain what a DMI cane is, sorry. **Q: Is there such a thing as an Odorless cane base? Most seem to have a very strong smell of rubber.** A: Only one made entirely of metal or wood is likely to be odorless. Even some plastics have an odor. This RMS Cane tip is fantastic and was miracle during our recent trip to Spain and Portugal with a lot of walking. Does not actually smell much at all. Would buy again ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ . *by J***N on 25 August 2024* Good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Frees up your other hand, so you don't have to rely so much on others for help *by D***9 on 26 December 2025* Tired of having to bend over all the time if someone knocks your cane over? Then this is for you. If you need both hands to do something, you can let go of your cane & it will stand on its own. No need to find a place to lean it against so you can go about your day a little more independently. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice replacement for original tip on standard cane *by J***T on 20 May 2024* I recently started using a standard cane because of some lower back issues. The problem was the cane always had to be leaning against something to keep it upright when I wasn't using it. I was going to buy a new cane that had four feet but when I saw this replacement tip I decided to give it a try. Pulling off the old tip and pushing the cane into this new one takes less than a minute and is simple to do. Now my cane stands upright on any flat surface, although it can still tip over easily if bumped. But if it does fall, I can usually stand it up again simply by pressing on one its corners with my foot. I wouldn't say it offers any more "shock absorbency" than the original tip did. But so far the tip is holding up fine without any cracks or signs of wear. And for the price, it isn't a bad option compared to buying a new cane. There are some less expensive similar devices available but the pictures of them make it appear that they aren't as well-made as this one is. So far I'm pleased with this device. ## Frequently Bought Together - RMS Cane Tip - Self Standing Quad Base Replacement for Most Walking Canes, Walking Sticks, Folding Canes or Offset Quad Pod or Tripod Canes - 4 Prong Rubber Cane Foot Pad (Black) - Vive Cane Tip - Self Standing Quad Base Replacement for Most Walking Canes, Walking Sticks, Folding Canes or Offset Quad Pod or Tripod Canes - 4 Prong Rubber Cane Foot Pad --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/287381601-rms-cane-tip-self-standing-quad-base-replacement-for-most](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/287381601-rms-cane-tip-self-standing-quad-base-replacement-for-most) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
