I have been begging for remote car starter for over 20 years (never been wealthy enough for that type of Luxury in a vehicle) and my fiance finally made all My dreams come true by purchasing this one on desertcart for Christmas! It was super simple to install. He had it done in a matter of 20 minutes if that, and it works like a charm. Hot or cold all I have to do is hit the lock button on my original key fob three times and it starts. It actually works from quite a distance. I used to be able to start it from inside my work and we were the second suite in a brick building with the parking lot on the end. I also love that I can get out of the car, and start it with my fob that way it can be running but the doors will still be locked. On my car if it's running and I get out I cannot lock the doors and therefore someone can easily jump in and run off with it, but not now! Now if I need to just run in the gas station really fast or want to warm up my car in the mornings I don't have to stress nearly as much about somebody possibly stealing my vehicle. I really cannot praise this thing enough. It's been over 6 months and It was worth every penny!!!

So the answer is yes.  But it does take mechanical aptitude and the ability to read, follow and understand directions to do the install properly.  Failure to even minimally read the directions and follow them step-by-step will cause you many issues and probably prevent the device from working.

**Q: After remote start, what is the procedure to drive off once you get in the car? Is it just foot on brake and drive off or restart car?**
A: A foot on the brake is all that is required.  When you actuate the remote start the doors will briefly unlock then relock.  Once you are at the car you will have to unlock them with the door button or the remote.  After entering the car just step on the brake, give it a second to make the transition back to the car brain from the remote brain and you're good to go.  My wife was constantly hitting the push button first which makes the engine turn off.  Took a while to get it understood that even though that was how she wanted to work that wasn't correct!  Go figure...

**Q: Car shuts off when I step on the brake. How do I fix this issue?**
A: Pardad, you have 2 different answers. What is it, step on the brakes for a few second or press the start button without stepping on the brakes? I have 2020 cx-5 and planning to get one. Thanks.

Awesome buy!!
