I think the premium oil has a higher viscosity than the regular oil. I feel like I get the same results with less oil, and that means that my beard is less greasy throughout the day. Whereas I would typically use one full dropper of the regular oil per morning, I use only about six drops, or about 40% of the dropper of the premium oil each morning. The other big difference between the standard and premium oils are the scents. Whereas the regular oil is scented of licorice/anise, I think the premium oil smells like sawdust....seriously! Like I just did my beard in a lumbermill! It isn't too strong, and disperses in maybe fifteen minutes (or that's how long it takes for me to become nose-blind).
