There are quite a few varieties. Personally I like Heavy gauge in the 358 (tear drop) shape. This is my secondary pick choice, which I use when not playing Dunlop Jazz III picks. The Fender 358 is narrower, more rounded, and about 1mm longer than the Jazz III. I'm not sure the thickness of the Fender Heavy, but I'm guessing it's about 1mm, so a little thinner by comparison.Fender really does an impressive job polishing and perfecting these picks. I have purchased about a dozen packs of different brands of picks to compare recently, and out of those, two or three packs had a defect. Not so with Fender. Out of my pack of 72 of my favorite pick, not a single one was flawed. I love em! Only problem is that fender must be making them with cheaper plastics or something. Its like they melt! I play my guitars an adverage 8 hours a day, somedays I have a guitar around my neck 14-16 hours a day. Yes I play professionally.
