Cover has some plastic snaps and is removed by releasing them using gap and then falls away from the back side. 2) The microSD slot is the only one not taped over. There are several components that block a straight slide into the slot so I suggest having a standing light source, tablet screen down on table and tweezers or similar. Align card with the slot edges you can see and make sure first half centimeter of card is in position. As you push forward the card will clear the components and lay flat.
