And if that's where you are at, I would recommend doing so - its not a bad book. However, I feel it definitely falls short of reaching the level of the two predecessors. For one, the plot is just not as compelling. The book draws long from the get go and its harder to stay with it. The character development is lacking as well - while we do get to know Dan better, which is good, and there are a few new characters such as Oliver that add some flavor, others are just background like Steve in example. And the previous two main characters, Jordan and Abby, just fall way behind. Especially Jordan gets totally pushed aside. There's no further development of the friendship side and neither of the budding romance between Dan and Abby. Abby has this weird quest to do a photo essay which seems nothing more than an excuse to bring in some of the vintage photos so its a bit more like Miss Peregrine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kenyatta.harmon0516@gmail *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2017* Totally awesome book and a great way to end the trilogy. It was awesome seeing a insight into Dan's history and seeing where he came fromI wish Dan's physics abilities would have been mentioned and explained more. And maybe more stuff about the warden and his work I felt like that topic wasn't mentioned, and it felt weird reading about something other than his reign. I mean 2 books on him and the third was on a completely different topic and conspiracy .I felt like another book on the warden and another on the Bone Stealers or whatever would be gold ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing (SPOILERS) *by E***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2016* I couldn't put this down. I will say it helped reading the novellas first. They were a great way to put the pieces together and not have as many questions at the end. Quick easy reads that you want to hurry and know what happens but are sad when the story ends. I would've liked a little more details about how both families are tied together. There's not much from Nurse Ash to Evie other than nurse Ash worked under Warden Crawford. There really wasn't a whole lot of the relation of Marcus to the warden details either. I think a middle story of the generation in the middle of those stories that lead from the wardens Era to Dan's would be even better. More history and depth and puzzle pieces. Like how did Evie and Marcus both linked to the warden ended up together. And surprisingly how Finnoway didn't know about the two families since he should've known their history. But somehow only knew of the Ash family. Which like I said, was already linked to the warden as well. I loved the creep factor of this series though.
