Pies and tarts are not just tasty but look deliciously beautiful.Wasting rice or beans is no longer my thing. Just be sures to let then cool down before washing them. I leave them to soak in soapy water just when they have cooled down, no need to scrub or over soak, I use parchment paper under my beeds and so far they kept clean and not greasy or sticky. Easy to store. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by L***N on February 5, 2023* I love these are a two in one product with its own strainer within a holder with lid. Very practical and functional. When I blind bake a pie crust, I always put parchment paper in, then I add the pie weights on top of the parchment. You obviously wash, rinse, dry your pie weights, however they should still not sit directly on top of the raw dough. You want a barrier of parchment, then put pie weights on top of the parchment paper. Makes it a lot easier to clean up the beads (I slide them off carefully from the parchment to strainer) Make sure you dry them thoroughly before putting them back with lid on or condensation can build up. I made a quiche for my first use of pie weights, and it turned out great! Highly recommend. Super sturdy containers too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Make sure to use barrier *by J***R on December 17, 2024* The first time I used these I put them directly on pie crust. While I should have known better, a note in the box to remind that they are ceramic and it can absorb fats would have been nice. They now have brown/black spots. Can’t wash them because they will absorb the soap. I now place wax paper or foil between them and crust.
