When I had a tune up, the repair guy said that this can be an issue with walking foot machines since they have more drag in the mechanism. It was a little funky to install, but every machine setup is different. The hardware you're given is basically just so you can make something work. I don't think there's really a dedicated "install kit" so do whatever works & you'll be good. As long as it doesn't interfere with your bobbin winder or anything else, it's fine. Having the ability to end my stitching needle down (or up, if that's your jam) and pivot my work is so rad! It makes sewing things like Velcro tabs a snap! One thing, though: you DO need a servo motor, AND it has to be a DIGITAL servo motor. Avoid global industrial supplies *by G***S on 3 November 2020* Purchased a Consew one horse motor and synchronizer from Global industrial supplies. The needle synchronizer does not work properly. Sent pictures and description of the problem. Global tech "support" keeps giving me the run around with no resolved issues. Listing says the item is a Consew CSM 3000, But the product description says it is a CSM 1000. The motor came with no tags or markings to verify the model. Needle synchronizer came the same way.
