It works, but not perfectly. You really have to mash the covers down on the spout and they can pop off fairly easily. That said, they work well enough that I will continue using them. I typically put the cap cover back on once the bottle is back in the cage. A little extra effort, but it has been worth it to me. Overall I've been pretty happy with them; especially since they are on a cap they were not designed for. I'm road biking, not mountain biking, not sure if the rougher terrain could make a difference. They seem to fit much better on the Sport Cap. They pop right on, no mashing. I have not used the Sport Cap on a ride so I can't say how well it works on the road. **Q: Do these work on camel backpacks? The tube doesn’t have a cap** A: No it’s only for bottles but they also offer caps for camel backs **Q: Will this fit a specialized bottle?** A: I doubt it will fit a specialized bottle.
