The sim has to be registered for data. **Q: Can this be used a usb lte modem with the wifi disabled on linux by creating a usb0 network interface?** A: Not allowed **Q: This mentions in the header that it can be used for a car...is that correct?** A: Yes, but it doesn't necessarily work well. **Q: Does this work for when im traveling in a car?** A: Yes but not necessarily well. Not too difficult to setup. Hangs at times when you go to settings but disconnect and reconnect fixes it. The download files do put out an alert about the software, it's made in China always expect some kind of malware especially in a communication device. ### ⭐ PIECE OF JUNK. *by on Reviewed in the United States November 25, 2024* It doesn't work, and the "instructions" are incomplete. So DON'T waste your money on it. ### ⭐ Not worth the money *by on Reviewed in the United States January 21, 2024* I have only been able to use as a hotspot which is not what I wanted ## Frequently Bought Together - Modem Dongle, 4G LTE Modem, Modem Dongle with SIM Card Slot, TDD FDD Car Mini Router with LED Status Indicator, Up to 10 Associated Users 4G LTE Modem - iSYFIX Sim Card Adapter Nano Micro - Standard 4 in 1 Converter Kit with Steel Tray Eject Pin --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/302495025-modem-dongle-4g-lte-modem-modem-dongle-with-sim-card](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/302495025-modem-dongle-4g-lte-modem-modem-dongle-with-sim-card) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
