I took a chance and purchased these for outdoor wreaths during Christmastime. I used two strands each for 4 wreaths (8 strands altogether) that I hung on my windows the week after Thanksgiving. I only turned them on a couple of episodes before Christmas as I didn't expect the battery life to last long. I live in New England and these darn things were good through a couple of rain storms, a snow storm, and sub-zero polar-vortex. I turned them on on Christmas Eve and from then on left them day and night. It is now 1/2/17 and the lights have slowly dimmed, but not one failed. I'm very impressed at how they held up.
