Bag Buddy has a wide 14" set of jaws that incorporate a non-slip pattern of teeth to hold your bag, but won't tear even the thinnest plastic. Weighing less that 1 pound it won't noticeably affect your load. The extra wide grip is designed to easily accommodate a 2 handed grip for those extra heavy loads. Holes in the handles allow you to hang the product from a hook or peg. Made of high strength Poly Propylene the product comes with a 10 year limited warranty. Easy to open thumb release latch means anyone can operate the Bag Buddy. The hinge system also allow for single handed closing so you can hold your bag in one hand and easily position Bag Buddy with the other. Please note, the plastic clips are in off black to gray color and depending on the resolution and color of your monitor may reflect slightly different.

These are heavy duty, and I was able to pick up 3/4 of a bag of left over mulch by the handle without any slippage of the clip.  This product appears to work as described.
