## Description

Stove Bright High Temperature Paint is the industrys premier high temperature paint. It is formulated with a unique blend of heat resistant pigments in a silicone polymer resin that provides excellent color retention and film integrity in working temperatures up to 1200F (650C). Stove Bright High Temperature Paint is designed for rapid curing and great working properties over ferrous metal surfaces. It is ideal for wood, pellet, and gas stoves as well as stove pipes, engines, engine manifolds, and many other metal substrates that are subject to high temperatures. Available in a wide range of colors to suit almost any need, and comes in both easy to use aerosol and brush-on formulas to accommodate any project. Works best with Stove Bright Paint Prep applied before hand.

Review: Base color and texture are attractive - the metallic is very sparkly - Update - we are one month into burning season and the paint had many heating cycles to cure. The insert was dusty, so I did the usual wet cloth wipe down when cool. That first wiping removed a bit of the extra rough texture and sparkle - now it's perfect. Great texture and the metallic sparkle no longer reaches Disney princess levels. 5 stars. Bought this to repaint the surround on a Pacific Energy Neo 2.5 insert. After 8 years of use, the surround was looking a bit scratched and tired. I first tried a regular matt black spray paint - doesn't match PE for color or texture at all. Then I read a review of this paint and someone said it was a 'perfect' match for Pacific Energy Neo. So I thought I would try it. I also read reviews of the bad spray tip on the can - and to switch out the tip. After resanding the surround and cleaning it with acetone - I painted. I also warmed up the paint can in hot water and shook it vigorously for a long time. The can does spit! I tried a different tip and then switched back to the tip that came with the can - it spits drops with both tips. I freaked out and almost decided to wipe the surround with acetone and start again. But then I decided to let that first coat dry. Those drops self-leveled and I kept on with a 2nd and then 3rd coat with the one can. Finally, on the 3rd and last coat, it spit one more drop. Then I immediately stopped, let it dry for a bit and basically applied a light 4th coat to ad texture to the area with the drop. That drop didn't totally level - and it's just barely noticeable. Matter of fact I think I'm the only one that can see it because I know where it is. My little secret. Overall the color is a very good - but not perfect - match to Pacific Energy. The texture is rough - a lot of flecks to break up the texture and diffuse the light. It looks very matt - and we think it's attractive. The only thing to note is that it's very metallic - any more sparkly and it would be a Disney princess stove. Overall - would recommend and am glad we did the project. Metallic Black color
Review: Perfect match for Pacific Energy Neo - I needed to touch-up my Pacific Energy Neo insert (Metallic Black) and repaint the surround which the fireplace installers had mistakenly painted flat black. I prepped the surround with fine sandpaper and acetone (beware, acetone takes this paint right off - do not let rag touch areas that you are not prepping). I used lots of light coats, 3-5, spraying from 12" out on the surround. The insert door only took a coat or two. If you spray too heavy or close, you will get drips and need to start over. Take your time and keep your coats light. You don't need to allow much time between coats. Mask everything well, including the hearth. I draped plastic from my mantle to make a tent and keep fumes from dispersing, then held my breath while spraying. I also kept the windows open. If you can't take similar measures, I suggest a 3M half-face respirator and organic vapor cartridges. When I was done, it looked great, like factory paint.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I use this spray paint to paint the inside of my fireplace? I want to paint the inside of the firebox.**
A: If this is a fireplace in the house, I wouldn't use this spray. NOt because it's not a lasting spray, but when you first use it the smell isn't the best and I wouldn't want it in my home. I sprayed this on an outside fire pit, but still it smelled awful the first time we used it after spraying.

**Q: Can I use this to paint the grates on my kitchen gas stove?**
A: This paint is not for grates on a gas stove even though it says so a stove grate can get up to 2000 degrees a little false advertising.

**Q: Can i paint the exterior of an old gas space heater with this ? And is it a gloss ?**
A: Not sure if you paint it on an "old gas space heater". My stove is cast iron. Worked great on that. No it's not a gloss. It's a flat black with a bit of a silver metallic, but not an over bearing metallic.

**Q: Can I use this product to paint my gas stove (metal) top?**
A: My thought would be yes as I have used this on an insert which can see rather high temperatures. If it is to be used on the inside of the lid in a cooking stove I would burn it for a whole first to get the chemical smell out. If the stove has a pilot light make sure that is off before spraying to avoid igniting fumes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Did the job!
*by A***R on July 3, 2026*

I used this to refurbish an old barbecue grill. I have since grilled and haven't found any damage to the paint, so it withstands heat just as stated. I'm very happy with this purchase and may get more just in case I need to touch up. One can painted a barrel grill with an attached smoker and chimney- I couldn't use it on the legs but I'll just use plain paint for that part.
