So I bought another from a local store, big mistake. Very happy with my new Frierich unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cools well *by S***N on September 15, 2021* Our home is 1500 square ft and it cools it great. Remote is easy to use ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not worth the price *by J***M on December 30, 2024* Unit took a while to arrive, and was damaged inside the box, but it was the summer and couldn’t wait any longer due to the summer temps. The damage was mostly cosmetic to the outer housing and could be bent back with pliers, but it made sliding the unit into the housing harder. The remaining damage were small bent or scratched pieces, but it didn’t impact operation and once the cover was on you couldn’t see it. I accepted it was my decision not to exchange the unit, so not deducting stars for the damage. Deducting a star because at the 1 year mark, the buttons on the unit stopped working most of the time, so I have to use the app or the remote to adjust the settings. If you run the unit on cold, the room humidity increases, so you have to switch to the dehumidifier mode, which is very effective, but you lose control of setting the temperature. At least the dehumidifier temperature it blows is cold, but it’s extremely cold, so it feels like the house temp is a ping pong game, going back and forth. It would be nice if it would automatically switch between modes.
