## Description

With the Deep Silence 6 Rev. B HPTX tower, we present a slightly modified revision of the popular big tower from the next generation of silent PC cases. The Nanoxia Deep Silence series has already won more than 150 awards from the international trade press. The innovative design and the exceptional quality certainly delight experts and enthusiasts alike. Based on the suggestions of our fans and customers, our design team has developed meaningful optimizations in the context of product development, which are reflected in the present revision. A particular novelty is the newly developed 6 x 2.5 "mounting frame for space-saving installation of up to six HDD / SSD. The Deep Silence 6 is in the Rev. B again equipped with two soundproof doors: Behind the upper cover the user will find four 5.25 inch bays, a 2-channel fan control (with sliders), as well as the reset-button. Behind the second door, two low-noise 140 mm fans are mounted. Magnets integrated in the doors ensure a fast closing and easy opening. The I/O-panel can be found in the top cover of the case. As many as 4 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, Mic, and Audio connectors are available. A practical sliding lid makes it possible to hide the connectors when they are not needed. The top cover also holds the unique “Active Air Chimney” for effective, active case ventilation. The Chimney is easily retractable. This ensures that the simple look of the case is maintained, without sacrificing useful features and options for ventilation. You can mount HTPX, E-ATX, XL-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards in the Deep Silence 6. Whether you are planning a particularly smooth-running high-end gaming system with extensive water cooling or are looking for an enclosure that can be used perfectly as a data storage server with multiple hard drives - the Deep Silence 6 Rev. B is perfect for you.

Review: Awesome for a NAS - I recently did a platform upgrade and I decided to repurpose my old workstation hardware for a NAS. As I looked around for case options I was surprised by the fact that there were very few mATX options with high hard drive capacity. When I finally came upon this, it fit all of my requirements and more. I received the case and everything arrived just fine. There are plenty of screws that come in the box. My initial thoughts were that it felt very solid and the cable management options were excellent. Once I started my build I found it very easy to move around with parts inside and easy to route everything. The build was just a breeze compared to the last case I had. It also comes with some solid fans and I can't hear it when I sleep about 6 feet away and it's full of hard drives. If you're looking for a solid, cheap, modular case with lot's of potential this is a great option.
Review: Excellent mini tower case - I had trouble deciding whether to give the case 4 or 5 stars, it’s damn near perfect in my opinion (I am using it to house a FreeNAS system so 3.5/2.5 disk capacity, cooling for said disks, minimal footprint and low noise were the important things for me). I decided on 5 since I felt like the average rating at the time was too low. My gripes, since there are very few of them, are as follows: 1. Only 1 fan in the front (albeit a 120mm one) that blows on about 3 of the disks. I feel like 2 could fit, but that’s just my opinion 2. The back of the tray is a bit cramped, I had to bend the SATA cables a little bit more than I wanted to 3. The upper fan grill is a bit larger on one side than a 140mm fan 4. The PSU mounting holes were a bit weird. Mine mounted fine, but I feel like it could have mated up a bit better with the back of the PSU. Not a big deal though That’s it! Everything else is great! Plenty of space for what I needed it for, seems like the cooling flow is pretty good (the front fan is a bit restricted and I wish I had gone for a higher static pressure noctua fan rather than the regular 120mm PWM version, the insulation is great and thick. The case I got was perfectly fine, no issues with it as I’ve seen in some other reviews. The dust guards are great, seem to be better than the other case I have (other cases have air channels that aren’t fully filtered, but the front cover could come off a little easier. Not a big deal. The wiring holes in the MB are great and have rubber grommets. I didn’t use the fan controller since I got PWM fans instead so I just pulled the wires out from the controller and left it alone (since it’s a NAS machine I never even open the 5.25 bay door - which has nice thick insulation behind it & the bay plates are mesh if you want some air flow. The MB expansion slot plates are also mesh, fine enough to catch some dust which is cool. There are plenty of HDD/SDD mounts with rubber pads for vibration insulation which is great. When the machine is running there is little noise and vibration. With the machine on (i3 6100 & 3 WD RE drives) in a warm room the drives stay around 35 degrees with the fans at basically their lowest which is what matters to me. And the dust filters are relatively easy to get to and seem to catch most of the dust since the inside of the machine is pretty dust free after 6 months. This was the smallest case I could find that could fit more than 3 or so HDDs and it seems to be working great at a pretty reasonable price. I’m happy.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is the size of Deep Silence 6 28x29.4x13.4 or 24.68x25.78x9.84?**
A: Hi Iver! The Deep Silence 6 case measures 24.68 x 9.84 x 25.78 inches. Due to its size and heft, it required team lift. If you need help choosing the right case for your PC build, feel free to write our team at customerservice@nanoxiausa.com.

**Q: In the title it states this is the rev b, but in technical details it states nxds6a? which is it and where is the window panel?**
A: I received Rev B.There is no window panel on the DS6 case. The windowed side panel is offered as a separate accessory and (as of 1/27/2017) isn't available on Amazon. That said, if you're looking for the side panel accessory, keep in mind that the window won't have the same sound-proofing as the rest of the case, so it will be noisier than the otherwise nearly silent DS6.

**Q: Will window panel for nxds6b fit anthracite version**
A: Hi Gilbert! The window panel for NXDS6B (black) fits NXDS6A (anthracite) as the dimension and color are the same. The Anthracite color is applicable to front panel only. If you have any questions feel free to write our team at customerservice@nanoxiausa.com.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty cool little case
*by T***S on October 10, 2016*

Pretty cool little case, def gives up airflow for silence. I think they skimped on a few things to keep the cost down, like having to pull the front panel off to access the dust filter, and it's QC is a little "meh" but all in all if one isn't to picky it's a pretty nice case. Not a ton of room behind the board for cable routing, but there is no window so who cares beyond keeping it out of the airflow path. My biggest criticism by far is the build quality, it's a really neat design that the actual manufacturer has done harm to via cheap material and assembly in a few areas. Thin flexy steel, ugly rivets, not precise assembly, and the drive cage was a bent up trainwreck when I received it despite the box and exterior of the case being just fine. I still say it's a nice case but maybe for a bit of a patient and experienced builder. With a skylate i5, 212evo an ssd, a 3tb spinny drive and a gtx1060 it's a very quiet, very fast, slightly warm, fairly small gaming box it's new owner is very happy with.
