The lid may well change colour, but this is normal **Q: is this a tight fit so I could leave it out indefinitely with just this lid on for protection, in all weathers ?** A: Not sure the lid is designed to protect from all weather... the stove has a 'Shelter' cover which act as protection & is very good. Lid is great as it enables you to use the stove as a side table before lighting... once the frames have gone out and the unit is cool you can put it on - it stops the cinders getting wet and makes it easy to clean. Lid is made of the same material as the stove...
