For some reason I thought the attachment that goes around the back of the head was a rope but it is hard plastic like the glass frames and earpieces but it's comfortable it works well and I don't have to hunt for my glasses in three parts of the house anymore.

Nice product , fits well, strong magnet. This is my second pair after the first pair finally packed it in after many years. These glasses are the first thing I put on in the morning, and I don't take them off until I've read a few chapters in bed at night.
