    Beautiful Necklace, Workable Compass

Beautiful, workable compass.  I bought a silver chain and wear this when I travel.  The chain it comes with is cheap, ugly and too short to see the compass when you are wearing it.  It is a pretty necklace and the compass works fairly well.  You have to hold it level for a few seconds to let it find north, so a quick glance doesn't work.  I have worn it on 2 trips and it is attractive and helpful.  I would recommend it those women who love knowing where they are in space and are the navigators of the group.

I had bought a similar necklace with a slightly different design for my daughter and she really liked it. The pewter pendant has a good sturdy weight to it and the compass is not only fun to look at but it actually is functional. It makes a really nice gift for that special person, especially the adventurous outdoorsy type. The ball chain necklace is not very heavy duty but those stainless steel chains are easy to replace.

Love the earthy pewter pendent. Did not come with optional leather necklace so I bought one at the local craft store.The bonus is that the compass does work! It points to magnetic North!
