To gold leaf it needs to remain tacky maybe a spray glue. But I would go on utube and have a look try Kacha she paints furniture and has done a wall of gold leaf in her shop. Hope that helps **Q: Q: What kind of glue I can use for these gold leaf sheets?** A: Most preferable and suggested glue is Gold Leaf Glue, because it is a delicate leaf, therefore we have to use liquid glue for it, furthermore depends on the surface on which you are going to it, you can use glue accordingly. Thank you for contacting KraftiSky, if you have furthermore questions, feel free to ask. **Q: Does the gold leaf need varnish after to prevent oxidiation?** A: Hi, yes it helps. I’ve used Copper leaf which tarnishes quite quickly and goes a green metallic colour which is the finish I was looking for. I used PVA to glue and two coats of clear Yacht varnish to seal. I’d imagine Gold doesn’t oxidise as much as copper. **Q: Can this product go inside a lightshade** A: The important thing to remember is that this gold/copper leaf is lighter than a feather but it can be applied anywhere so long as you apply "sizing solution" to the surface first. You then glue the surface with a mild adhesive ( definitely not super glue) and apply the leaf onto the surface using a very lightweight brush or using your breath. I can't see any problem with the inside of a lampshade but please remember this leaf is superlight in terms of weight. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 August 2026* Really great stuff. Super easy to apply, and looks great. Great quantity, easy to adhere, and really thin, so you can see details underneath. One sheet is big enough for almost any purpose. The one downside is that it rips rather easily, however the nature of gilding means it's easy to fix if this happens. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gold leaf *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 September 2026* Very good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 November 2024* I wanted to upcycle a set of canvases i had, and whilst i didnt want anything to blingy or garish, i did want a little bit of an eye catcher on the finished project. This gold leaf was just enough to get the effect i wanted and i still have tons left!.I am very happy with the product. I used mine with pva glue, just let it go tacky before applying, and i did go over some parts a couple of times but i enjoyed the process and it wasn't too much of an issue at all.I would recommend. ## Frequently Bought Together - KraftiSky Gold Leaf Sheets - 100 Gold Foil Sheets - 14 x 14 cm Multipurpose Gold Leaf for Nails, Art & DIY Projects, Picture Frames, Home Walls, Interior and Multi Artistic Decoration (Foil) - Speedball 10210 10210 Mona Lisa 2-Ounce Metal Leaf Adhesive Size --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/331199463-gold-leaf-sheets-100-gold-foil-sheets-14-x-14](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/331199463-gold-leaf-sheets-100-gold-foil-sheets-14-x-14) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
