It's power supply died and I needed a new one, but was seriously short on funds. Solid Gear has the lowest prices, but I'd read a bad review for a different Solid Gear supply on a different site. Anyway, thought I'd take a chance and so far, so good. Although it's only been a few days.The good is that the form factor is perfect. It fits even better than the original (which had some auxiliary "ears" to make it fit in the case. Also, many "1U" supplies are actually for those little mini-ITX desktop cases They are a little taller, and narrower and with mounting holes in the wrong places. This is a true 1U power supply.Officially the dimensions are 40.5 mm tall (1.56 inch) x 100 mm wide (3.94 inch) x 200 mm deep (7.87 inch). The dimensions are for the outside of the metal box and don't include screw heads, the connector, or wires. There are a pair of tapped mounting holes on the end that mates with the skin of the case, which are centered vertically and 90 mm apart (3.54 inch). There are two more tapped mounting holes on the opposite end where the bundle of wires comes out. Those holes fit an L-shaped bracket and anchor the supply so it doesn't rattle against bottom of the case. Unfortunately my old supply was a different form factor and didn't use that bracket (but my case has the standoffs for it) and Solid Gear is too cheap to include it. I used a square of double sided tape to hold the inside end down. I guess if I wanted a bracket I should have paid $20 more for a different brand of supply.There is a 20/24-pin mobo connector, one cable with a pair of SATA power connectors, and a second cable with a pair of legacy Molex connectors and a floppy connector. There is no 12v CPU power connector (4 or 8-pin).There is no efficiency rating, such as bronze, or gold, or whatever. The Solid Gear website says only "high efficiency."
