I've run it through the dishwasher multiple times and there is no discoloration. The steak knives are super sharp, great for cutting meat, or accidentally slicing fingers :( (user error) Great sturdy set, highly recommend. UPDATE: 6/6/2025: I am still using these pieces 4 years later. No color has chipped or faded, but I have noticed a discoloration due to dishwasher cleaning. It’s almost like a rainbow discoloration and I’m not mad about it. I still love them to this day and will continue to use them.
