Will buy it again and again. Review: Delicious instant sipping soup - I have to eat a very low salt diet because of my heart, and one of the things I’ve been missing most is broth. I have found that this is an amazing instant sipping broth if you add a little personality to it. I use a dash each of cloves, all spice, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, potassium chloride (there is some in it already, don’t add too much), and a spoon of sugar/sweetener. I have a cold and I’m loving being able to make what I like to call “beef tea”! ## Features - Herb Ox Sodium-Free Beef Bouillon - 50 packets Pack of 1 - Each packet makes 8 ounces of broth - Granulated Broth and Seasoning - Add to soups; stew; gravies; sauces and stir-fry ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0077DM16Y | | Best Sellers Rank | #11,586 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #6 in Packaged Beef Bouillon | | Brand | Herb-ox | | Brand Name | Herb-ox | | Color | Orange | | Container Type | Packet | | Cuisine | African American | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,774 Reviews | | Flavor | Beef,Herb | | Item Form | Granulated | | Item Package Weight | 0.26 kg | | Item Volume | 8 fluid ounces | | Item Weight | 8 ounces | | Manufacturer | Hormel | | Model Number | 02315 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Package Information | Packet | | Part Number | 02315 | | Size | 7.05 Ounce (Pack of 1) | | Specialty | GMO Free | | UPC | 033600023155 | | Unit Count | 7.05 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Herb-ox - **Flavor:** Beef,Herb - **Item Form:** Granulated - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Package Information:** Packet ## Images ![Hormel Herb Ox Beef Bouillon Sodium Free 50 Packets - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81VjwoKxPCL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the expiration date. There was no date on my package** A: Mine is on a sticker on side of box with bar code, 04/2019. But I also have a chicken bullion and could not find best by date on that package. I never have to worry about date as I use lots of this product when making soups. **Q: How much potassium is in each packet? For those of us fasting or doing Keto, we need to supplement with potassium.** A: Potassium Chloride is a salt substitute, not straight out potassium. It does have potassium in it, but in the small packet serving size, is not a significant source. THOSE WATCHING THEIR POTASSIUM INTAKE, however, need to monitor intake, if using several packets a day. **Q: is one packet equal to one regular bouillon cube?** A: A packet contains 4 grams. (200g/50pk) I found a bouillon pack 75 cube at 900g (12g each) And another one of ~225 cubes 908g (4g each) So Yes and No, depend on the cube. However, each packet is 1 TSP which seems to be the standard for 1 (8oz) cup. **Q: Does this contain MSG?** A: Yes, it is the same as MSG. Sadly, the manufacturer is NOT being transparent about it. Come on, it's people's health. > https://sites.google.com/a/umn.edu/phar6157s13/home/monoammonium-glutamate-monopotassium-glutamate-msg ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product if watching your salt!! ❤️ *by K***K on August 21, 2026* This product is the best if you need to watch your salt and tastes great when used in cooking anything that uses beef broth. It is hard to add beefy flavor with a no salt diet. I have sprinkled it on prime rib, made beef soup, Au jus, homemade hamburger helper, etc. it tastes great and you do not even miss the salt! ## Frequently Bought Together - Hormel Herb Ox Beef Bouillon Sodium Free 50 Packets - Herb-ox Hormel Herb Ox Chicken Bouillon Sodium Free 50 Packets - Knorr Zero Salt Powder Bouillon Natural Chicken Flavor Bouillon For Sauces, Gravies And Soups, with No Artificial Flavors or Preservatives 2.6 oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/33296410-hormel-herb-ox-beef-bouillon-sodium-free-50-packets](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/33296410-hormel-herb-ox-beef-bouillon-sodium-free-50-packets) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
