Review: Major Wireless Connectivity Issues - Was unable to return product as I went past 30 day return policy in an attempt to adjust to it. It feels ok in the hand, but the wireless connectivity issues made it entirely unusable. The mouse overall felt good in the hand and the adjustments made it easy to get just the right fit. However, the wireless connectivity would get dropped if the user pauses the mouse during use(MacOSx 10.11.6 and Windows 10 so it is hardware based on not OS dependant) which made in entirely unusable and detrimental to my RSI related issues. Basically during usage on the wireless version any pausing of the pointer would incur a .25-.5 sec delay before the mouse was responsive and that is IF it were to become responsive. In some cases it would entirely stop responding until after powering off and powering back on. The delay alone made it frustrating to use and actually likely set back my healing from RSI issues. For $125 this is a "snake oil" mouse and an overall piece of $h1t. Currently using a much cheaper and substantially better mouse (primarily due to it's simplicity I guess) https://www.desertcart.com/Wireless-Vertical-Upright-Ergonomic-Healthy/dp/B00P2LQ39O
Review: Pain has disappeared. Battery life is good. I love this mouse! - I was having some carpal tunnel pain in my right wrist and decided I needed to do something about it. After reading up on ergonomic computing I installed a sturdy keyboard tray and took a gamble with this mouse. The reviews were positive but said that the batteries didn't last very long. I'm not sure where this complaint came from. A pair of good batteries has lasted me over a month of daily use. What they did get right was how comfortable the mouse is. It made sense that using a mouse with a rotated hand would prevent compressing the wrist. I couldn't be happier! It didn't take very long to get used to the shape. It is designed to hold your entire hand - no resting your palm on the desk. The only problem is scrolling. You scroll with this mouse by clicking buttons with your thumb. Click and hold and text scrolls. It is pretty slow, so you can release and hold it again and it will speed up. You can do this a few times until you reach the maximum scroll speed. As a developer, this causes me a bit of grief. It is annoying enough that I leave a second mouse on top of my desk so I can use the scroll wheel if I want more precision. Actually it works out pretty well having two mice like this - especially when doing things that don't require the keyboard. Overall I am quite pleased. I highly recommend this mouse for anyone who is having CT pain. Definitely go with the wireless version or at least don't be afraid of it. It takes standard AA's and does not have a charging cradle, but it does go into an energy saving mode when you aren't moving it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this mouse same as wired mouse**
A: "Ortho Mouse Wireless" would not be the same as a wired mouse... hence the term, wireless. However, I do believe that they offer one with a wire attached, which would save $ in batteries in the long run.

**Q: Is there a wheel on this mouse? What comes in the package (I have rather large hands and want to make sure it will work)?**
A: There is no scroll wheel on this mouse as this has been shown to aggravate repetitive stress injuries. Scrolling, along with a variety of other functions are accomplished through the three thumb switch-style buttons. It takes a little getting used to, but it feels nice and helped my pain considerably. I also have large hands and this is the best feeling mouse I've ever used.

**Q: I see a review that states wireless drops out or the mouse cursor sticks until about a 1/4 second after a period of inactivity is this true?**
A: After inactivity you have to click the left click to activate it again. I know that my mouse continually freezes up to the point that I insisted on a refund from Amazon. I was so annoyed with it just stopping in the middle of use.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Excellent, well made product
*by B***N on September 15, 2017*

Excellent, well made product, just too big for my hands...thumb scroller isn't as intuitive as index-finger scrolling, but that's a personal call.
