Review: IYV PRS Tribute. It is worth more than I paid for it. - First off, I am giving this five stars because of value for the money not because it is a five-star guitar* I bought this as my first iyv guitar. It was $108 "used" . It is a PRS copy. If you buy this the first thing you do to do is change the strings. It was 95ish% intonated when I got it, which usually does not happen with guitars that are shipped to you. That was the next thing that impressed me after the beauty of it. It doesn't have a binding. It has an unpainted wood stripe around where the binding would be. It had some issues with pint bleeding, and the top finish is probably pretty delicate. The flame maple looks nice but it's not deeply figured, I really would not care if it was fake at this price. About an eighth of a turn adjustment on the truss rod made the action almost perfect with no buzz. I bought some pickups too put in it but they sent the wrong pickups and I kind of like the stock pickups now I decided not to replace them yet. The tunerss are locking tuners and they are also pretty good for the price. They did need tightening because they were pretty loose. I think this is a cow bone nut? But I'm not sure. It had no catches and I just put some graphite in there for good measure. I usually replace the nut in every guitar that I own but the jury is out on this one. The fretboard was pretty dry, it had a few hight spots in the outer frets but nothing bad. I sanded a little and that went away in t minutes. I oiled the fret oard and it was quite nice after a couple applications. It didn't have a little spot in the finish, but it was used, so it was acceptable. It is barely noticable. This is The Best guitar I have ever purchased for the price range. I had no idea you could get a guitar under 200 that was this good out of the box. I do not even mess with cheap Gibsons or cheap fenders, etc. Most of my guitars cost a lot of money and I enjoy this guitar just as much as any of them on any given day. Even if somebody does not know what they're doing as far as maintenance of a guitar, you could get it professionally set up and have a better guitar than most name brands for twice the price or more. . Let me reiterate. This guitar is great for the price point. I'm so excited about it that I have 2 more IYV guitars coming in the mail, and a really nice mosrite tribute was delived on Friday. Somebody please stop me from getting more! The keep going on sale for less than 120 bucks brand new. Keep watch and you can snag them with a 15-30% coupon. The pickups are 4 conductor, by the way. desertcart's return policy is very good in my experience, so you can test it out and make sure there are no flaws or issues Also, my reviews are generally more negative than this. 😅
Review: A whole lot of guitar for the money 💰 - I Had been watching the guitar for about a year or so now. I said to myself if it went on sale again and dropped below a $150 I was going to buy it. It showed up 1 day at a $135 or so. Again I browse through the reviews. Again I tossed and turned. I said ok, it's $135. In 1979 my dad spent $175 on a used Cort Les Paul Jr with about 6" action at the 12th Fret and had razor blades for Fret ends. According to Google that's $600+ today. I bought this for $135 today. This is my 2nd IYV guitar and according to general consensus I got very lucky the 1st time. I got lucky this time also. They package these things in bathroom tissue and then send them off with the Samsonite gorilla for delivery. This 1 arrived in a nearly flawless box. After unpacking and inspecting closely from head to tail, I decided she had arrived free of shipping damage. Woohoo!! After much closer examination this was the findings. If you think you are getting a 2k+ PRS or something, you will probably be sorely disappointed. I'm in my late 50s and grew up in a time when men were men and American men were not afraid to dive into what they had or could afford and make it as close to what they were looking for and dreaming of. If I wanted to beat it up I could put pictures in this review (and I did) of a dent on the top, or the place that wasn't shiny on the joint of the neck, or the place on the bottom "ear" with the weird run, or the Sahara desert dry neck, or the spot of black on the binding in the upper ear....What I saw was this...after I put some super slinkys on it, straightened the neck, polished the frets, put 3 coats of D'dario Hydrate on the fretboard, cleaned and polished the whole thing with carnuba wax, played in the strings and intonated it (isn't this stuff you do to every guitar you buy new or used?) Lastly applying some Silglide Hydra glide to the nut and bridge this thing plays and sounds like a dream. The 1 I got has fully functional hardware and everything feels good and quality, knobba and switches. Volume knob will change tone as Volume increases. Pick ups are clear, yet sound really good with pedals and different amps etc. Pictures do not do the beauty of this instrument justice. It does everything it is supposed to up to and including making my mind up on buying the real thing. Also p.s. this guitar is very addictive. I think about it when I am at work and stay up and play it after my wife goes to bed....p.p.s. I had credit card points, rewards and a gift card, so with tax I ended up with $9.37 in this axe....Best $10 I ever spent!! R.I.P. Dad. He also bought me a 1979 Fender Player 1 which I still have to this day

**Q: Is this the same as the one in trans green ?**
A: IYV makes an IP 350 in trans green but it is not available on Amazon.  You can order it from the factory off of their website, but the shipping costs are terrible these days especially from overseas in Southeast Asia.

**Q: does anyone know the fretboard radius?**
A: It's a nice thin C, with a pretty flat radius, I would put it at 14".

**Q: What body shape is this guitar?**
A: It’s a carved top. Body shape is typical PRS design.IVY’s “ Destiny Wound” Humbuckers.( Splitable if modded). Mine was around 8lbs. Top “ Horn” is slightly longer than on a PRS.
Plays just like it. Same Vietnam Factory some Harley Benton models are MFG’d. As well as “ Wolf” brand guitars. Nice Finish ! Tuners do the job.., but Schaller is best! :)
This is an Injen- Viena Guitar ( IYV ) same as the others on Amazon. The IS200 SB Strat Style is very nice, Tuners could be better!, but over-all , st like a Classic Vibe without the high price tag. Good ones don’t have to be expensive!! These are made to be modded. I did mine , completely!, just a great instrument with low dollar invested to make it a real Player.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Above average guitar, great value, and very fun to play

This is an incredible instrument. Great value!! The design is fantastic, I absolutely love the finish. The neck is comfy and the fret ends are not sharp. It plays well and sound great right out of the box. It obviously needed tuning and will need new strings but what guitar doesn’t. I am extremely impressed and will be holding onto this one.
