Stand is crazy sturdy enough for playing and I haven't had any issues so far. I actually purchased another one for a 14" Pintech cymbal that should arrive tomorrow. The only negative thing I have to say about this stand is that it doesn't come with a clamp for electric kits. That's my only gripe and Gibraltar sells a excellent clamp for about $19 on Amazon and that's what I'm using to mount this stand to my drum rack now.
