This is normal. I used a screw top with a pump from an old bottle of this product to help with use. Needless to say, I’m a repeat offender. Quality is thick, but not sticky or greasy. No scent, so great for my sensitive skin. I’ll sometimes mix a scented oil in prior to slathering it on. Very pleased with the nourishment level of my skin after every use, incredibly effective compared to other drug store brands and super affordable. My husband's allergist and dermatologists, both, recommended CeraVe for his eczema. Within hours his dry, scaly, itchy, arms were feeling better. After 2 weeks, he had fewer bumps and no itch. I use it before working with fabric. I handle a lot of fabric whilst quilting & embroidering, and it's very drying to my hands.
