The downside- they work too well. Everything is sweet for at least an hour after one berry. Powerade is the most grotesque syrupy drink after one of these bad boys. I took a sip of seltzer the other day thinking it would be sweet and I literally threw up in my mouth. It does work on alcohol, but it makes everything taste too sweet and does not amplify flavor. Overall, very bizarre experience but these can be fun for a party.
