I have owned it since February 2012 and scanned over 2500 pages in that time. PROS: Very reliable Made in Japan! Quiet operation TWAIN drivers - no proprietary scan software required to operate! Mine only has issues with folded or badly crinkled documents. Otherwise, I have gotten very reliable results after loading up to 40 pages at a time. The only issue I have experienced is with Adobe Acrobat X Pro - sometimes it will crash after processing the last scanned page, requiring everything to be rescanned. Closing Adobe Acrobat then reopening it prior to scanning a large document seems to prevent this from happening. Both experiences will render the same amount of consumer satisfaction. I've had this device about 2 years, but from the very beginning it stubbornly refused to correctly scan in batch mode, pulling multiple sheets through at one time. I have become an expert in painstakingly fanning out multiple pages of large documents hoping for that elusive "good scan". There is a switch to select single page, versus multiple page scan, but it appears to be a decoy. On many occasions I have been embarrassed when I forwarded a PDF to my Board of Directors only to be notified that some pages were missing in the middle. Finding a replacement has just moved to the top of my to-do list, but first I must race against time to somehow get a 10-page document scanned before the will to live has completely left me.
