Tested extensively with a XIAO ESP32S3 microcontroller across all three communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, and HSU/UART) with confirmed correct wiring, correct DIP switch settings, and verified 3.3V power supply. All connections were tested with a multimeter for continuity and correct voltage. Both boards power on (red LED lights up) but the PN532 chip does not respond on any interface or pin combination. Tested with multiple Arduino libraries including Elechouse PN532.
