Compact, tactile, and perfect for players aged 13 and up, it deepens gameplay complexity without requiring batteries or assembly. ## Description Hive Pillbug Carbon is a new pair of tiles that can be added to Hive. The pillbug moves like the queen bee - one space at a time - but it also has a special ability that it may use instead of moving. This ability allows the pillbug to move an adjacent un-stacked piece (whether friendly or enemy) two spaces: up on to the pillbug itself, then down into an empty space adjacent to itself. ## Features - Hive Carbon is needed to use this expansion - Adds depth and complexity - Expansion for the MENSA Select game ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00JH9JYE8 | | Are Batteries Required | No | | Battery Types | No Battery Required | | Brand | Ghenos Games | | CPSIA Cautionary Statement | Choking Hazard - Small Parts, No Warning Applicable | | Colour | black | | Customer Package Type | Reinforced Box | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (363) | | Edition | Standard Edition | | Educational Objective | Develop logical thinking and problem solving | | Expansion For | MENSA Select | | Game Mechanics | strategy | | Genre | Cooperative | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00799599208231 | | Included Components | game pieces | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Dimensions | 11.9 x 11.9 x 1.3 Centimeters | | Item Part Number | TCI016 | | Item Type Name | Board Game | | Item Weight | 64 g | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | Renegade Game Studios | | Manufacturer Part Number | TCI016 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Manufacturer recommended age | 8 years and up | | Material | carbon | | Minimum Age Recomendation | 156 | | Model Number | TCI016 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 2 | | Operation Mode | manual | | Set Name | Hive | | Size | One Size | | Subject Character | Pillbug Carbon | | Theme | Hive | | UPC | 799599208231 064194221191 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ghenos Games - **Genre:** Cooperative - **Material:** carbon - **Number of Players:** 2 - **Theme:** Hive ## Images ![Team Components Hive Pillbug Carbon Expansion Board Game (2 Players, Ages 13+) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51EbQf93Q1L.jpg) ![Team Components Hive Pillbug Carbon Expansion Board Game (2 Players, Ages 13+) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ZaGVlRUlL.jpg) ![Team Components Hive Pillbug Carbon Expansion Board Game (2 Players, Ages 13+) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21N1sQjGFsL.jpg) ![Team Components Hive Pillbug Carbon Expansion Board Game (2 Players, Ages 13+) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81rsJnYe16L.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Hive: Pillbug Carbon Expansion Board Game (TCI016) - Hive Carbon - Smart Zone Games Hive Pocket Pillbug Expansion for 96 months to 1188 months --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/363549225-team-components-hive-pillbug-carbon-expansion-board-game-2-players](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/363549225-team-components-hive-pillbug-carbon-expansion-board-game-2-players) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
