But newer version cables will work with older devices. The higher version cable will NOT make an older version hardware perform better. **Q: I bought the 402a for my Nvidia shield tv and my Roku4 to extract the Dolby 5.1 to my old reaciver but the signal still prologic , i try all setup** A: You need the OREI HDA-925 for your setup: https://www.amazon.com/OREI-60Hz-Audio-Converter-Extractor/dp/B07T6CDPQJ/ **Q: En que puerto puedo conectar el hdmi arc ?** A: The hdmi output 1 supports ARC audio extraction so that extracted audio would be output from optical connection. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ UHDS-402A is great but has one limitation that really matters in my setup *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 September 2025* I totally missed this, and I hope you don’t. What makes it worse for me is that I also missed the return window.I’m a big fan of Orei gear and already own a few of their HDMI switches, which have generally worked very well. Build quality is solid, performance is reliable, and Orei usually delivers great value for money. That said, the UHDS-402A has one limitation that really matters in my setup: there is no HDMI-CEC passthrough. In practice, that means my Apple TV cannot detect HDMI-CEC support when connected through this switch. On the Apple TV, the “Control TVs and Receivers” option is greyed out, so it cannot power on/off or control volume for my TV and soundbar as it does when connected directly. For anyone who relies on Apple TV as the main media hub (like me), this is a real drawback. That said, if you’re happy switching your devices on and off independently (rather than letting Apple TV do it for you), the UHDS-402A will serve you well. It handles 4K video, HDR, and audio extraction properly — no complaints there. But without CEC passthrough, integration with devices like Apple TV, LG TVs, and LG soundbars just isn’t complete. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OREI UHDS-402A Matrix works perfectly. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 8 May 2025* Purchase this item after trying another companies matrix with Audio extract. The main thing I can say is that this product worked and I am now able to display on either TV or Projector (or both) with Audio going to a SONOS ARC. I used a separate audio 2 into 1 for the ARC but all works perfectly and no longer need to unplug and reconnect cables. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for multi-purpose desk set ups *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 January 2025* Finding a solid solution that allows you seamlessly switch between multiple mediums across different monitors can be a tricky endeavour. Amongst my search, OREI regularly came up as a solid brand to turn to for such a task. The OREI 4K HDMI Matrix is a great quality option for those looking to seamlessly switch between multiple game consoles and work peripherals without the hassle. Have a PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and a PC? This'll work. Want to display a game to one monitor, and the other featuring OBS to download directly to your PC capture card? You can do that, it's very versatile in that regard/Orei's videos are also a great guide to help me decide what type of HDMI product was right for me. However, if you are looking to use a laptop to extend its display rather than mirroring it, you should consider the SplitExtend or an equivalent product. An important factor to take into consideration is the plug itself and the power-bank itself. It faces upwards when plugged into a wall, or inwards when in an extension lead. You'll most likely have one of these if your planning multiple systems in the same set up. I would advise getting a single row rather than those dual ones, as this will actually take up two spaces because of the direction the plug is facing. And while it boasts resolutions up to 4K at 60hz, it is also a solid option for those working with systems at the lower end towards 1080p, even if it is on the pricier end of things for that resolution. I've had it for a couple of months now, and where so many others have given up on me at this point, the OREI 4K HDMI Matrix is still going strong - which is telling of its quality. ## Frequently Bought Together - OREI 4K HDMI Matrix Switch 4 X 2, Switcher 18G UltraHD with Arc Supports Upto 4K @ 60Hz & 1080P IR Audio Extractor Arc EDID HDCP 2.- Remote Control - Full Matrix Selection - KabelDirekt TOSLINK – Optical Audio Cable – 75ft – Fiber Optic Cord, S/PDIF Digital Audio Optical Cable for Soundbar, Stereo Systems, Home Cinema, Xbox One/PS4 – Designed in Germany - Highwings Long 8K HDMI Cable 25FT 48Gbps, 2.1 High Speed Gaming Cord 4K@120Hz 8K@60Hz RTX 3090 eARC 3D Compatible for PS5, UHD TV and Blu-ray Player --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/365682951-orei-4k-hdmi-matrix-switch-4-x-2-switcher-18g](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/365682951-orei-4k-hdmi-matrix-switch-4-x-2-switcher-18g) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
