The goal was to clean up the mess. Mission accomplished! Tip: Use the soft or flat end of a hammer to put it together. You can even wrap a piece of cloth around what your hitting it with against the other piece. Make sure that you have it turned the correct way so that the bar attaches inside. It works well for stacking hangers. I’d put a rock in the middle to keep it from scooting on slick surfaces. You could also put a cloth or rubber mat under it to keep it from moving on slick surfaces. I don’t have anything under mine. You can’t hang adult-size from the bar and place hangers on the bottom. My closet is small so I wanted something to hold on to hangers that aren't being used. This works perfectly. It isn't the sturdiest of products but it is getting the job done. Half of the holder is filled and I was able to carry it, with the hangers on it, by the top connecting piece. This is going to be sitting on the closet floor out of the way.
