Review: Cool Factor Keyboard - I have for years used brand name ergonomic keyboards and have the same problem of the padding disintegrating and the lettering on the keys wearing off. So, I started looking at a lighted keyboard (key issue) and something that would work for a gel wrist pad that I received as a present (I really just wanted the mouse pad). I found the MageGee as reasonably priced keyboard that had cool retro styled keys (similar to the first typewriter that I learned to type on!). I wanted a lighted keyboard, because my home office desk is a bit dark in the evening/early morning and thought this might be a good solution. I ordered the keyboard, and it arrived three days later. Standard packaging with no issues. Pulled the keyboard out and swapped old keyboard out, did not have any computer compatibility issues. It took me a bit getting used to the keys and multicolored lights. Good directions on how to change the backlight effects (just wanted something simple). I have now been using this keyboard now for about three weeks and really enjoy the feel, sound of the keys and the lighted keys! Good quality and works like it should!

I love the feel of the keys and the sound as I type. It's not really long-nail girlie-friendly, but that is fine with me. I have no issues with shorter nails. The design is comfortable. it just needs a little gel pad for your wrists and lets me type at my normal pace with zero issues. I use it for school work and normal day-to-day computer tasks on my MacBook Pro. Im still testing out all the light functions and different settings but love that it is interective to typing and love the colors under the keys.

**Q: Does the light just stay on? Or do I have to unplug it every time?**
A: No it does not. When you turn on your computer the keyboard is lit. But when you shutdown so dies the keyboard light

**Q: Why is the copy and paste button use win instead of alt?**
A: There is no such thing as a copy and paste button.  For PC you use ctrl+c.  For Mac you use a different combination of keys

**Q: Does it fit any computer?**
A: As long as that computer has a standard USB port (aka, a USB-A port), you should be able to use this keyboard. It connects to computers via a USB-A cable.

**Q: For the one with rainbow light. can i pick a single color? white, red, etc.? if so, how? i can only get it to change effects but not the color itself.**

This is such an awesome little keyboard. It's easy to hook up via USB to your computer. It's a plug-and-play type. It does take a second to turn on with all the lights when plugged in, but it's great. A coworker showed this to me in their office, and I had to get one. I love the feel of the keys and the sound as I type. It's not really long-nail girlie-friendly, but that is fine with me. I have no issues with shorter nails. The design is comfortable. it just needs a little gel pad for your wrists and lets me type at my normal pace with zero issues. I use it for school work and normal day-to-day computer tasks on my MacBook Pro.
