All wide cages are totally fine as long as you also leave the door open. Birds have wings and need to fly. So called flight cages are bigger which is great but won’t allow them to actually fly, just hop about, but the bigger the better. It’s easier if you just buy a couple of rectangular cages and just let them fly round the room. At first they might fly into the window or behind the couch but within a week they will have perfectly navigated the room and then will be so happy eating vegetables like baby leaves, corn on cob, carrot, broccoli on top of the flat cage. The dowel perches that come with most cages hurts their feet so please try buying screw in natural branches instead and put the perches outside as well as inside the cage. Maybe tie up a few genuine apple branches to their cage(s) so give them a natural place to fly to and chew on. Please just use branches from a fruit tree.
