The Victor Quick-Kill Mouse Trap is easy to use, highly effective, and provides an instant kill. Set the trap with one simple “click” and you’re ready to start controlling your mouse infestation. Review: Best. By far. - Living in an area where there is essentially nothing you can do to deter mice, not even multiple cats, I have had to learn quickly what works and what doesn't. Our first invasion, we used live traps. These worked well at first, but eventually the mice got wise and they no longer helped. Traditional traps actually scare me - I got my finger once when I was a young child and that fear never went away. We set those up, but half the time the bait would go missing without setting the trap off, and once the trap needed to be reset it would have to wait for someone else not me to reset it. Add to that having to avoid putting them in areas where pets might set them off, and they are useless. We tried this type, and quickly - within days - got the infestation situation under control. Baited with either bread or peanut butter, these work 99.9% of the time they are investigated, but the cover of the bait well keeps larger pets from getting to the bait and setting it off. The setting of the trap is easy and intuitive, with far less risk of having fingers get caught, so I myself am able to reset any trap quickly, and without fear. This allows us to put these traps anywhere, without regard to pets' reach. (We have a terrier though that has learned what the sound of the trap snapping means and will dart to the trap and try to take off with the mouse. It is rather funny watching, and seeing him with a mouse hanging out of his mouth and a trap hanging off the mouse is both hilarious and disturbing. But it speaks volumes about how securely this trap holds the mouse... no escape!) When a new wave of mice showed up recently, we couldn't find the traps like this from the previous wave (probably the terriers fault?) So we ordered more. 13 mice in 2 days, and we have seen no mice or new evidence of them since. This time we are keeping the traps out and baited BEFORE another comes in and breeds. Will never use another type of trap again if I can continue finding these. Local stores stopped carrying them, so thanks desertcart!
Review: Mouse stalker - Best trap .I had a few mice escaped in my presence for a couple reasons but end of day I caught every one of those mofo's. Best bait is peanut butter by far I've learned you need to keep bait fully inside bait bucket on trap. If you leave a smudge on the outside that's all they'll eat causing freedom as I've explained earlier. It's a little tricky but with patience its easy to figure out. I only bought a pk of 2 but I should have bought more because if you got 1 mouse 🐁 chances are she's a pregnant one. Trust I found out the hard way. I definitely will buy this product again if needed. Good pricing . Big update from the old wooden style. Handle properly no more sore fingers !! 😆👍

**Q: Is the "protected bait" feature likely to block small ants?  Small ants are the main bait thieves where we live.**
A: The bait is protected in that it is covered and not able to be easily stolen by a mouse. Small insects such as ants would still be able to enter the bait area.

**Q: Can the trap kill the mouse immediately?**
A: Yes, this is quick and install kill trap, designed to slam on their head with 100% accuracy I would say. (or close to 100%)

**Q: Will these work on larger rats?**
A: while these are deadly and works wonderfully for mice, they would not work for rats or chipmunks.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy and effective

I bought these partially because of posted reviews but also because I figured with six traps I should be able to get at least one mouse. First night I put out 5 traps - next morning, four mice caught! The fifth trap was on a table where we found mouse droppings once but probably wasn't on their regular route. One trap was on the floor of the passenger side of our car since we'd found chewing evidence in the glove compartment (that was a new box of M&Ms!) and yes, the car thief was caught. The next night I placed traps out in the same places but only caught one - I like to think it's because the population was so much lower. Some reviewers have mentioned caught mice still being alive, and that did happen with one of the six (so far). I filled a 5-gallon bucket about halfway with water and dropped the whole trap in. The trap sank enough to hold the mouse under, and within one minute it was out of its misery. These traps are easy to use - much more than the old wooden ones (which weren't exactly challenging). I think if the spring was stronger it would mean fewer survivors but I worry it could also lead to decapitations... Bottom line: effective tool at a great price.
