## Description

Your Shape is a revolutionary new fitness product that is laser-focused on you, ensuring you get the most personalized, effective and fun workout possible. The Your Shape camera comes with the game and, using proprietary fitness tracking technology, scans you, giving you a full body shape analysis. The game combines that analysis with the results of your fitness test and your goals to create a personalized fitness program to help you meet your goals as efficiently and effectively as possible. Unlike any other fitness product, when you begin your workout, the camera projects your image onto the TV. Because the camera tracks your movements, your coach can give you real-time input on how you're doing and advice on how to do it better. And, you get all of these benefits without having to hold a controller as you workout, leaving your hands free to focus on the exercises. In fact, the game encourages you to incorporate your own exercise equipment (weights, balance ball, etc). Just tell it what you have at home, and your coach will add it to your personal workout. No other fitness product provides this level of personalization and interactivity while leaving your hands free.

Review: Strong enough for a Man, but PH balanced for a Woman! - (one month in review) This might be the only review from a man. Let me tell you other gentlemen something, aerobics are not a joke! Damn they are tough and get your whole body moving. I'm a pretty big guy at 270+, was 280 a month ago and then lost around ten lbs because of Your Shape. I know some of you other reviewers are probably thinking that this game is tailored for women and it is to an extent. But I use heavier weights and I am easily in the best shape of my life in three weeks thanks to this game. I had the Wii fit and it helped my balance big time, I had the EA active and it gave me a good workout in an hour for about 25 minutes worth of real exercise. This game on the other hand beats the hell out of me and I love it! In thirty minutes I am good to go with my increased heart rate, strength training, and cardio. The first time it was tough for me to get 50%, now I do 75% plus or higher. The lighting and contrast was easily fixed on my behalf and it helped recognize me significantly. The fact that it sometimes doesn't recognize me is because I'm not doing the exercise correct and when I do, it does. Please make sure you follow her moves, not copy or mimic, there is a big difference! It really is that simple; don't let anyone else's review fool you. The other reviewers gave up quickly because unfortunately in today's world it's now, now, now and they want it to be perfect and easy right away. Well, anyone who has really worked out knows it takes perseverance and patience. The longer I work at these the better I get, gee imagine that! The game is now starting to tailor to the exercises that I am good at and dismissing some of the others that I just plain suck at, which is great. I'm getting buff because it's asking me whether I want to burn or build strength and me being a Macho Man (hah!)of course I want to build strength and have I ever. No joke, I could not do one push up at first, well hell I was 280! Now I can do ten plus without hesitation, I actually had to do some on my knees at first, how freaking sad is that! The fact that I can bench myself now is amazing to me. Fat Man is turning into Macho Man! Seriously, I can see huge differences in my upper body strength and the girlfriend loves it! Ladies you can choose the burn option for less strength building if you're paranoid that you'll look like the incredible hulk, which is BS anyway unless your on steriods. I could write a book about how great this game is! Now I never had my fitness coach but if I would have known that it compared to this, I would have happily switched from my EA Active. EA as said before was great at first compared to Wii Fit, EA Active actually got me to perspire. Your Shape is significantly dominate to EA Active as I didn't mind the strap and controls but it sure is nice to be free of them. Plus if you want to lose belly fat then just tell the game and it will concentrate on it, plus give you an entire body workout at the same time. It will also cutomize it everyday based on how your feel that day, if you want to work out like a gorillia, it will be happy to oblige or if you feel like crap it will take it easy on you. To sum it up if you're hesitant because of the other reviews, don't be. If you want a workout that will really get you moving, then go for it. But have patience with yourself and the rewards will be seen shortly. Also be prepared to really workout and move your body or as Jenny says "Doesn't it feel good to really use your body" and YES it does! If you're not ready to go beyond the typical workout and really challenge yourself then don't bother because you will be wasting your money and time. Best workout game hands down and I really feel like it might be the standard for the next few years. Side notes: I still use my own resistant bands that I purchased separately for EA Active, I just tell the game I have free weights and substitute. Also if you're a guy and thinking about this, go for it and yeah it's designed for women, but I knew this and I just adjusted it for me by flexing when moving my arms and adding heavier weights and other strength building concepts and I am still feeling the burn three weeks later. Don't get it if you're self-conscious of how other people will view you, my guy friends all make fun of me when I tell them I do aerobics with Jenny Macarthy, but I just beat them all in arm wrestling last Saturday night! One guy even asked me about this game afterwards. LOL It reminds me of that deodorant- Strong enough for a Man, but PH balanced for a woman.
Review: False advertising! - UBISOFT SHOULD BE SUED FOR FALSE ADVERTISING! The main reason I bought this game is that the TV ads show a shadowed silhouette you're supposed to match so you'll know whether or not you're doing the exercise correctly. But the actual game doesn't have the silhouette. They sure duped me! As other reviewers have mentioned, the camera doesn't always recognize your movements and often tells you that you're doing the exercises incorrectly by saying "watch your arms", "watch your legs", etc. But it doesn't show you what needs to be done to correct your movements. Hence the need for the missing silhouette. What makes it even worse for me is that all the exercises are preceded by warm-ups that include only high impact aerobics. I power-walk 3 miles a day and am in good shape, but my knees are sort of weak and I don't want to do high impact exercises. And if I do a low-impact variation, it tells me I'm not keeping up and to get going! All in all, I feel this game was an absolute waste of my money and I wish I could return it, but since it's opened I can't.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ your shape vs wii fit
*by A***A on January 9, 2010*

i just today received my wii your shape and i just finished my first workout. the only word that comes to mind is wow!! if you need motivation to work out, but u walk up to ur wii fit and the board and just loose all motivation well thats where i was. The wii fit was just boring after awhile its VERY slow paced and u dont realize that until u do the your shape!i was expecting to point and click hear the blah blah blah on the tv click and do a little workout then blah blah blah click rinse and repeat...WRONGO...it was point click MOVE.immediately u are moving and burning and its like **** i wasent expecting that! ur shape is fast paced it is all about cardio and getting ur blood pumping, i admit i was skeptical after seeing the ratings on amazon but i really wanted to try something new and i have never used the wii active but it looks boring also, like plain. then i saw the ur shape commercial and i was intrigued. so if ur like me and looking for a real honest to god workout that will leave u breathless u wont regret buying this. the cam makes this thing very picky, but thats the common problem with working out isnt it? that we are slacking so i believe even tho its annoying (i got a 55% rate my first go so far)its necessary. also wii fit lets u pick what workouts u want to do, which is great for the days u want to do nothing but floor exercises! dont expect that from ur shape it wont let u slack off. with ur shape u dont pick ur exercises u pick a part of ur body an either burn or tone. then u select how long u want to work out and all i gotta say is keep up!im 21 years old ex military and it threw exercises at me that i have never even heard of! im impressed and im baffled to why this thing doesnt have better ratings! if you get winded from the wii fit,u might wanna take a slow pace on this game.now that ive tried both of these its like the wii fit is made for older people who might wanna take a light stab at working out without getting too deep into it. the ur shape however is just really intense its fun and it WILL KEEP U MOVING, after working out u do stretches and get a few seconds after each to rest trust me when i saw u will be glad for them. bottom line i promise u wont be disappointed if u buy this,i wish they would have invented this before the wii fit! ALSO it doesnt weigh u like the wii fit so know ur weight before hand it does however give u a 3d image of what ur body looks like after it scans u. i hope i helped somebody cause i know the good reviews on here led me to buy it so THANK YOU!
