It turns out SO much of the plateau I was at was due to bow-hold struggles! I had never gotten a hold down that worked for me, constantly felt I was going to drop the bow / gripped it too tight / etc, and it took so much concentration to hold that my left hand really suffered. The first time I practiced with this grip, I played my entire practice rep SO smoothly and well - because this freed up so much of my attention for everything else besides holding the bow.It’s helping me develop those muscles and learn how it should feel to hold my bow without the grip on, as well.
