The Provoke® Compact is a classic reimagined, redesigned to be an ultra portable everyday carry. Wielding power in compact size, its sturdy aluminum handle adds to its superbly lightweight design, doubling in purpose as the perfect self-defense carry. Featuring Kinematic™ technology, it stays neatly tucked away in transit, and comes to life when there’s trouble afoot.Around here, we think of Designer Joe Caswell as somewhat of a mad scientist. When we got an eyeful of the sketches that were to become the Provoke®—designed in Newbury Park, California—we knew he was destined to become one of the most innovative designers the knife world has ever seen. Modeled after a traditional karambit, the hawkbill-style blade is forged of a premium D2 steel for high durability and excellent edge retention. The opening mechanism is pulling the folder into the future whether it’s ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge to action while you’ve got a firm grasp on the handle. It’s crafted of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for supreme toughness. In true Joe fashion, the pocket clip is also a world’s first—sitting almost completely flush with the handle and likewise activated with light thumb pressure. The Provoke® Compact comes up strong when it’s called in for duty. How Kinematic™ WorksNudge the upper crossbar with your thumb—while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle—and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position.Specifications:Blade Length: 2.26" (57.33 mm)Edge: PlainSteel: D2Blade Finish: StonewashBlade Thickness: 0.15" (3.73 mm)Grind: ChiselClosed Length: 4.54" (115.42 mm)Open Length: 6.63" (168.28 mm)Weight: 4.4 oz (124.74g)Handle: 6061 Al; CNC millStyle: Folding Knife with Kinematic™ ## Features - Unique Innovation: Kinematic deploys the blade with push of the thumb - Superior Performance: D2 blade steel for excellent edge retention - Strong And Lightweight: Aluminum handle combines strength with minimal weight - Low Profile: pocket clip provides secure carry - Designed by Joe Caswell in Newbury Park, California ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B094C35KCW | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #194,307 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #639 in Camping Folding Knives | | Blade Edge | fine | | Blade Length | 2.26 inches | | Blade Material | Alloy Steel | | Blade Shape | Clip Point | | Blade Type | Karambit | | Brand Name | CRKT | | Color | Multicolor | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (208) | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Aluminum | | Included Components | CRKT 4045, Pamphlet | | Item Length | 6.63 inches | | Item Shape | folding knife with hawkbill blade | | Item Type Name | Knife | | Item Weight | 4.4 ounces | | Manufacturer | Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT) | | Model Name | PROVOKE™ COMPACT | | Model Number | 4045 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 4045 | | Power Source | Manual | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Recommended Uses For Product | Camping, Utility | | Reusability | Reusable | | Size | 2.3" | | Special Features | Foldable, Lightweight | | Style | Provoke Compact | | UPC | 794023404500 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Blade Material:** Alloy Steel - **Brand:** CRKT - **Color:** Multicolor - **Handle Material:** Aluminum - **Included Components:** CRKT 4045, Pamphlet - **Model Name:** PROVOKE™ COMPACT - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Camping, Utility - **Special Feature:** Foldable, Lightweight - **Style:** Provoke Compact ## Images ![Provoke Compact - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71MxslXkBJL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Made where is this knife manufactured?** A: I believe that the Provoke Compact is manufactured in Taiwan. **Q: Anyone experience any rusting issues** A: No t me. **Q: What is the inside diameter of the hole?
