Superb Performance And Color Retention! Exclusive OP Enhanced Oil Priming. As an oil Colorist it is important to work on oil primed Surfaces and not universal primed Surfaces. The reason is that universal primed Surfaces are semi-absorbent. Gesso is absorbent even if it is plate smooth. The Paint does not get absorbed as much and sits on the Surface more making it easy to blend and manipulate. Granted it is not highly absorbent but the fact remains that some oil will get into the primer and flatten the image. You can get around this by using an under-Painting oil ground on top of the Surface of a universal ground Canvas but this is very time consuming and expensive. Unlike universal ground, our oil Priming chemicAlly bonds with the oil Paint and is non-absorbent Allowing the Paint to sit up on the Surface with the correct refraction Quality of the oil binder. If you Use any High-Quality oil Color we urge you to Use an oil primed Surface and now we make it Affordable! Exclusive OP Enhanced Oil Priming! Centurion Deluxe Professional Oil Primed Linen Panels, specificAlly Designed for oil Painters. Superb receptive Surface accepts even the thinnest oil Color lay down without fragmenting on the Surface and is a permanent Surface as Colors adhere better on it than any other oil primed Canvas on the market today! Acid-free and archival, the primed medium-Textured linen is cleanly wrapped and adhered to a solid 3mm MDF Wood board. ## Features - Features: Acid-free, archival linen panels, 11oz. oil primed, Made Of medium Weight linen, exclusive OP enhanced oil Priming, mounted on 3mm (1/8") MDF Wood board, medium Weight and Texture, and non warping - Perfect For: Artists of All skill levels, oil and alkyd Painting, archival longevity, linen lovers expecting the best, Professional artists, commissioned work, and Traveling - OP Enhanced Priming: Exclusive Enhanced Oil Priming is Used for Each of these Canvas panels making for fantastic Color retention - Travel: These premium Quality linen panels take up only 1/4 the space of a 3/4" Canvas which makes for easy Storage and Travel to find your inspiration, go to an art show, Paint in plein aire, and so much more! - Variety: We offer these Professional linen panels in convenient packs of 3 in various Sizes including 11x14", 12x12", 12x16", 12x24", 14x18", 16x20", 18x24", 20x24", 22x28", 24x30", and 24x36" ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004WQFU3K | | Best Sellers Rank | #61,356 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #284 in Canvas Panels | | Brand Name | Centurion | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (381) | | Item Dimensions L x W | 30.5L x 22.9W centimeters | | Item Weight | 2.52 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Centurion | | Manufacturer Part Number | E5331OPCP0912X6 | | Material Type | Linen | | Model Number | E5331OPCP0912X6 | | Number of Items | 6 | | Paint Type | Oil | | Size | 9x12 - 6 Pack | | UPC | 709758858610 | | Unit Count | 6 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Centurion - **Colour:** White - **Item weight:** 2.52 Pounds - **Material:** Linen - **Product dimensions:** 30.5L x 22.9W centimeters ## Images ![Centurion Deluxe Oil Primed Linen Panel 6-Pack 9x12 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/614nm-NlHBL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this made of cotton or flax?** A: It’s linen—so I guess flax. A smoother surface than cotton and tends not to show under the paint **Q: Are oil pastels comparable to this product?** A: This Centurian product is a most cost effective support for oil primed linen to be used mainly with oil paint mediums. I’ve never thought of these panels for pastel!!! **Q: Does this canvas help oil paint glide on smoothly? I'm a newbie and the current canvas is linen and it's giving me problems.** A: Artists have personal preferences but oil primed panels don’t absorb as much as acrylic prime so there is less sinking in of the paint into the surface and less drag. I like to add a layer of transparent thin paint for an overall tone to the panel before painting. It definitely makes the next layer smoother to apply and removes the stark whiteness that can make values hard to evaluate. It also provides harmony to the color values. Different linens have slicker surface or lots of tooth to the surface, I find Centurian’s tooth is just right for me. **Q: Are these mdf boards peoduced with formaldehyde ? I am asking because of concerns with voc and also longenvity** A: To the best of my knowledge they are not. For correct information about whether they use formaldehyde I would contact the manufacturer. ## Frequently Bought Together - Centurion Deluxe Professional Oil Primed Archival Linen Panels - Enhanced Oil Priming for Superb Performance & Color Retention - [6 Pack - 9x12"] - Centurion Deluxe Professional Oil Primed Linen Canvas Panels - 8x10-6 Pack of Linen Canvases for Painting, Artwork and More - Centurion All-Media Primed Linen Panels - 11x14" 3 Pack - 11oz Universal Primed Canvas Boards for Painting, Mounted on MDF Wood, Non-Warping, Ideal for Artists, Professionals, and Painters --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/389810754-centurion-deluxe-oil-primed-linen-panel-6-pack-9x12](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/389810754-centurion-deluxe-oil-primed-linen-panel-6-pack-9x12) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
