Review: RELIEF!! It’s the real deal!! - I have to say I was a little bit worried about buying the smallest generator they make, but I added up all my wattage and had plenty left over. When it got here, the box was not damaged, and all of the parts were in the box. It takes about 30 minutes to put together if you read the instructions closely. I’m able to power a portable air conditioner (large size, not window unit), a 14 ft.³ deep freezer, a 14 ft.³ refrigerator and a full-size dehumidifier. I also powered both of my 75 inch TVs and plugged in everything else that goes with them…. I have a ton of LED lights and Alexa and what not. Everything got plugged in and the generator didn’t spot once. I guess the tomato I was using somewhere around 3000 to 3500 W which is well below its peak running wattage. I will say that you should definitely charge the battery upon arrival like I did not. When mine got here after I put it together it cranked right up with the start button so I thought no big deal. I checked it with my battery charger and must’ve misread it because I thought it said it was at 100%. I know this is not true now because I went to crank it yesterday just to make sure everything was still running OK and suddenly the start button did not work. They would not even try to turn over whatsoever. Just a bunch of clicking noises. So I plugged the battery charger back in to check the battery as customer Support told me to. It still said 100%. Turns out I did not have it selected on the right charging method so it was not giving me all of the numbers. I did not see that the voltage was very low and that it was not charged all the way. The moral of the story is charge the battery lol! I charged mine and now it purrs like a kitten again. A very large kitten! I purchased the tent accessory that is in the section of where “Customer’s also bought”. Definitely a wise investment. It has kept it out of the elements, but fully functional if needed. One more mistake I made was when I went to fill the oil up. I did not make sure that the generator was level. So I had oil spilling out, thinking that I had overfilled and lo and behold it was just off balance…. Quite a bit haha. I just let it spill out until it was done and then I helped it a little bit more to make sure it wasn’t overfilled and everything was all fine. Now I have it set up on a pallet with two bricks on one of the sides to even it out perfectly. I mean dead on perfect. Got lucky there. I almost bought the 13,000 W version which would’ve been unjustifiably too much for this house. At the time it was on sale for about $1100. I decided to go with my gut and just add up the wattage I needed, and it worked out. Oh, if you happen to put synthetic oil in on its first run, don’t freak out because that’s exactly what I did. It was an accident. I bought both types and just put the wrong one in. Once it had been running it its first full cycle is when I figured it out. It has had no problems so I think you’re OK if you’ve done like me. The control board is easy to operate and manage. It’s pretty obvious what each thing does. It has all the features that I needed and worked out great. Just make sure you get one that is enough to power what you need and you will not be disappointed. Also upgrade your propane tanks to some 40 pound ones like I did. It’ll save you a lot of trips. And if you have to like me, and the power does go out and everybody is blazing the propane stores you’ll just be sitting back like “what’s going on?” Haha Sorry for the rambling I hope all of this was useful or some of it was useful to somebody. It was my first generator purchase and I knew absolutely nothing about them. I threw a dart and hit the bull’s-eye! One last thing… I love that it has the four prong outlet that allows 120/240v. I have one cord that can handle 8000 W of electric electricity. It has four female ends to plug into. I had the AC unit, dehumidifier, deep freezer and refrigerator all on the same 10 amp cord and it didn’t even get warm. Not one bit. So invest in the right chords as you invest in this awesome generator!
Review: Great Generator for a Great Price! - Got my new Duroax XP5500 EH today. Perfect condition and easy to assemble,(handles & wheels). They included a basic tool kit, electrical cord plugs, a 12 volt charging wire with alligator clips & a Propane hose with regulator, not mentioned in the ad. So I was really pleased about that. Took me about 30-45 minutes to set up, including adding oil (20 ounces by the way). Instructions say "don't overfill",but no amount. I called Duromax tech support prior to receiving the unit regarding if the propane hose was included. It is .They also advised me to use Conventional 10-30 Oil. (not included) during the break in period. Then you can switch to Synthetic 10-30 if one chooses to do so.. The guy was super nice, professional and very helpful. A+ on that. I hooked up a propane tank, followed the instructions on the start up guide and it fired right up. It's easy to maneuver around and is relatively small in size for the wattage it puts out. That, I like. So far, so good. I would highly recommend this unit and the seller as they shipped right away and packaging was superb.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the decibel level of this generator? I can't find it listed. Thanks.**
A: I purchased the XP4850EH and it is very quite compared to old job site generators I used in the past. Mine is 69db's. The engine is much better than most. It comes with what appears to be an aluminum fan rated at 10,000 rpm. Most come with a plastic fan rated at 6000 rpm. The 212cc 7hp engine by Duromax is the #1 engine for go carts. Rated a much better value than a Honda engine of same size. It is a very high quality engine. If maintained properly this engine should last many many years of great dependable service. These engine's are Honda clone's. The Duromax is the leader of the pack.

**Q: How much oil shoud I put in it. I received the unit but no documentations on the first time oil fill up. Thanks to any and everyone.**
A: Takes about 20 oz or 2/3rds qt of oil. Use funnel provided and you will be glad you did. Still easy to overfill and drp on ground so fill in a place that you can clean up. I also put the date on the oil bottle and keep it wth my genny parts...amazing how time passes. Also used synthetic oil with a low viscosity for cold weather. Good luck!

**Q: i Need a welder gas generator**
A: I need a man to help me set this up, Im just a silly woman. I also need my dog during these bad storms to keep me company. Actually I do NEED my dog, thats no joke.

**Q: Does this product come with or without the wheels**
A: product comes with wheels as shown

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazingly reliable generator!
*by K***. on December 11, 2023*

I purchased my generator in November of 2020. After unboxing, I filled the engine case with the proper oil, filled the gas tank with Sta-bil treated regular unleaded, and charged the battery for about four hours. Then turned on the fuel valve and hit the electric start button and my generator was up and running perfectly. During the winter of 2020 - 2021 I probably used my new Duromax generator a half dozen times and I ran approximately five tanks of gas through it in total. It was used to power our natural gas furnace, our electric fridge, and a few lights during a couple day-two day power outages. It performed perfectly and we had absolutely zero issues or complaints with the little power house. At some point in the spring of 2021 I wheeled my little Duromax generator over to the corner of my garage and there it sat. We moved to a warmer climate that summer and of course our generator moved with us but sat unattended and neglected until mid November of this year, 2023. Now here’s the AMAZING PART. My son and I dragged the generator out from storage in the corner of my garage, turned the fuel valve on and hit the electric start button EXPECTING absolutely nothing to happen. We figured the battery would be dead and the carburetor would be all gummed up with almost 3 year old gas. BUT AMAZINGLY the my Duromax generator STARTED IMMEDIATELY and RAN PERFECTLY for next ten minutes while we sat there absolutely amazed that it turned over and started at all. NOW REMEMBER, the battery had NOT been charged again after the initial 4 hour charge the first day I received it. The gas WAS treated with STA-BIL when I last filled the tank back in the spring of 2021, and it had set unattended and neglected FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS! So would I recommend you buy a new Duromax generator? YOU BET YOUR LAST DOLLAR I WOULD!!!! In fact I give my Duromax generator a 5 PLUS PLUS PLUS STAR RATING!!! I have absolutely no doubt that my little Duromax workhorse will be ready to come to the rescue anytime I need it. Now don’t be foolish like I was and let your generator sit around neglected. I promise you I won’t won’t be so foolish again either. Keep your battery charged up on a low amp battery tender, and change out the gas tank with fresh Sta-bil treated gas every year. By the way I just drained the tank on mine and refilled it with fresh treated gas AND RAN THE OLD GAS THROUGH MY 2003 Ford F150 without any issues or problems. Finally, you can buy a Duromax generator with confidence knowing that it will be there ready to help you through your next electrical power outage should you need it. I’m sure glad I bought mine and you won’t be disappointed should you decide to purchase a Duromax generator in any size. They are amazingly reliable workhorses!
