From the Author --------------- In The Colder Case Series, Uncivil Twilight is the 1925 case about the trial of S.C. Stone for the murders of the Martin sisters. Colder Case is the 1937 case and the trial of Albert Dyer for the murders of Melba and Madeline Everett and their friend Jeanette Stephens. Snake Avenue is a similar 1931 case about the murder of Virgina Brooks in San Diego, which is still unsolved. In the Court of Deadly Assumptions is about another 1937 case, the trial of Samuel Elmore for the murder of Joan Kuleba.
