I got this to replace my 2.4Ghz wireless mouse that required a USB transmitter / receiver that takes up a USB port on my laptop that I wanted to free up. The mouse requires two AAA batteries that are not provided with the product but luckily I had to hand (my previous wireless mouse took a single AA battery so I couldn’t reuse it in this). The mouse is easy to pair, just enable search on your laptop or device and press the little recessed button on the bottom of the mouse and away it goes. There are the usual mouse buttons and wheel with a button behind the mouse wheel that cycles through the DPI settings. The mouse has a maximum 2600 DPI resolution. My last mouse had a maximum 4800 DPI resolution which I never used as it was far too sensitive for me and I wondered whether I’d miss it; but I’ve found 2600 DPI is as much as I need, and to be honest is easier to set, as you have less cycling through to get back to if you overshoot the DPI button presses. The mouse is comfortable to use and the buttons are perfectly placed for my smallish hands (if you have giant hands then it may be a bit small). Also the mouse glides well on the desk surface I’m using it on which other mice can sometimes drag a little, but maybe this is because it’s new and hasn’t picked up any of the daily grime yet (or my surface cleaning has improved). There is a battery indicator on the left side of the mouse that I believe lights up red when you need to replace the batteries (I’m hoping that they last as long as my wireless mouse which I’ve had for about 4 months and haven’t had to replace them yet). There is an on/off sliding switch on the bottom of the mouse that you can use to turn off the mouse when not in use for longer periods. When turning on the mouse it connects to my laptop instantly with no delay as you’d expect.
