Pangea Gecko Diet: Growth & Breeding Formula was designed to be a healthy array of ingredients that provides essential nutrients for breeding adults but is also excellent for geckos of all life stages. Crested geckos still benefit from once or twice-a-week cricket feeding. Other species, such as the New Caledonian giant gecko (Rhacodactylus leachianus), gargoyle geckos (R. auriculatus), and chameleon geckos (Eurydactylodes spp.), also excel on this formula from the get-go. Additionally, Growth & Breeding Formula has been revolutionary for species that require higher levels of calcium and bugs such as mossy prehensile-tailed gecko (Mniarogekko chahoua). The fruits used are a delicious blend of bananas and apricots that creates an excellent feeding response like our other formulas. The higher fat levels help keep egg production strong throughout the breeding season. The calcium level is near the maximum level for a complete gecko diet. It is sometimes necessary to add a little calcium to the food if your females are becoming calcium depleted. Alternatively, you can offer plain calcium in a dish for your females to lick from as needed. To get the most out of this diet, fresh food should be offered at least every other day during the breeding season even though there will be some waste. Smaller and more frequent feedings are healthier for breeders than large-sparse feedings, on which they tend to gorge themselves. **Q: Why shouldn't I freeze the diet to help it last longer?**
A: The ice crystals that form during the freezing process can potentially damage the cell walls of the plant ingredient contents and reduce the overall nutritional value of the diet.

**Q: Why does the unrefrigerated prepared feed expire after a day?**
A: The prepared feed can be compared to a fruit smoothie. A fruit smoothie sitting in a humid tropical environment like a gecko terrarium will not last as long as it would while refrigerated.

My baby crested gecko loves it💖. She went right for it on my finger. I have had her for 2 months and this is the first food that she has almost eaten all of in her bowl. She has not done that with other formulas. I’m looking forward to seeing how good she grows. Pangea is an excellent brand that cares about the health and wellbeing of reptiles, and I would recommend it to anyone with geckos.

Like, OMG everyone! This gecko food is just SO Amazing! Before I found this brand my poor crested gecko would force itself to eat.... I felt so terrible for even feeding it the previous brand which I won't name due to the fear of making the executives of that company feel sad when reading this review. The smell of the aforementioned brand was Disgusting! And it tasted as bad as it smelled to boot! However when I bought Pangea Gecko food everything changed! When I mixed it, the fruity aroma was so pleasant that I had to give it a taste, which I don't recommend as this is strictly for gecko consumption only. When I gave my baby geckie her food, her eyes lit up as if to say "Thank you so very much..... I look forward to eating once more! " now she eats voraciously and her color is vibrant and she has grown at least a whole two inches! As a gecko father, I cannot recommend Pangea Gecko food enough! Best brand on the market!!!! GO BUY IT!
