## Description

An escaped mental patient stumbles upon the annual end-of-the-summer party at the cottage of twenty-something Shannon. With people partying everywhere, and the beer flowing, it takes awhile before the partygoers realize that blood has started flowing as well! Again and again unsuspecting party guests fall victim to the madman, and soon this fun sleepover weekend turns into a terrifyingly ghastly nightmare.

    2.5 Stars A Slight Playback Problem

I bought a new copy of this film off this site that had never been opened but it wouldn't play for more than ten seconds at a time without freezing and not playing for a couple of minutes. I looked at my brand new disc and it had two scratches that went all the way around the edge in a circular motion. I kept trying to get it to play and after many failed attempts I sprayed it with window cleaner and wiped it dry and it played without freezing or skipping at all. Now to the film. It is a quite enjoyable, above average slasher. This would have got 3.5 stars but I took away a whole point for the hassle of trying to get it to play. The characters are quite likable and you care what happens to them. There are some creative death scenes including one with a pop can and one with an outboard motor. I am also glad that the nudity is almost nonexistent. That and the style shown in the trailer are what attracted me to this film. The scene where our killer flips out near the start is powerful in its brutuality.

This type of film gives horror a bad name.  What a joke.  Don't waste 5 minutes on this mindless piece of junk.  Don't rent it, don't buy it (God forbid) and don't let anyone you know con you into watching it.  I bought it for 99 cents...and I still feel as though I was ripped off.  I threw away the DVD and the insert.  I kept the plastic case.  Now what does that tell you?
