Does that show through under the table cloth, or makie it lumpy??** A: I don't know about the designs showing through there were so many lumps from where it was folded I didn't even get to the design. I tried to get the folds out, but nothing worked so I returned it. **Q: How do you get the creases out of the protector?** A: place a thin damp towel on the felt portion of the the pad and then iron on the towel pad combination using a steam iron. Do not leave the iron in place too long to prevent burning. **Q: Is the design nice enough to be used alone?** A: No it is NOT, nice enough to be used alone, it is stiff and came with a lot of creases/ it is heavy and not like a tablecloth. Had many before, but this is the worse! I would not recommend to purchases this item or would NOT repurchases myself. **Q: Is this waterproof, and is it thick enough to protect table from hot dishes?** A: The packaging says not put hot ovenware directly onto it, but if it’s not just of of the oven I’m sure it will be fine.
