**Q: Is a soldering iron needed to install the analog stick?**
A: Absolutly. Sony have made it almost impossible to repair now. Even with this fantastic kit. I found the joy sticks soldered on and with quite a few fradgile wires placed in areas designed to break if the controller is opened. 
Take your controller to a pro for repair.
This kit is great, but the ps5 controller's design internally is purely aweful.
